Pros & Cons
- The Vittoria Mezcal and Barzo are the ideal cross-country tyre combination for both dry and wet conditions.
- Because the Mezcal has shorter knobs in the middle, rolling resistance is lower.
- The Barzo's medium-high knobs provide plenty of grip in all kinds of conditions and surfaces.
- Tubeless Ready technology makes the tyres easy to make tubeless with 90ml of latex sealant per tyre.
- Skinwall tyres add to the look of your bike.
- While this tyre combination is good in wet conditions, the tread does not provide sufficient grip when the surface gets muddy.
- Tubeless sealant should generally be topped up every 3-6 months.

Description
Speed and grip!
With the Vittoria Mezcal G2 you are lightning fast on wet and dry forest surfaces. The Mezcal G2 outer tyre is therefore very suitable for fast cross-country courses. The centred pattern on the tread gives the tyre low rolling resistance, with alternating studs placed on the edges of the tyre to provide extra grip when cornering, braking and climbing. Ideal for traction and speed on the rear tyre!
The Barzo G2 is a cross country tyre for the most technical terrain. The block pattern on the tread allows for optimal grip in the corners, and the square blocks give you great stability on loose ground. With the Barzo G2 as a front tyre, you will speed through the corners like a professional!
Technology
Graphene 2.0Just like the other Vittoria G2 mountain bike tyres, the Mezcal and Barzo are equipped with the Graphene 2.0 compound. This compound is made up of 4 layers, which allows Vittoria to apply the right accents in the tyre for the best combination of properties. Both tyres therefore excel in grip and durability.
Weight
• 690 grams (Mezcal / 55-622)
• 660 grams (Barzo / 55-622)
The weight listed above is weighed by the manufacturer and may differ from the actual weight if you weigh the tyre yourself at home. This deviation is usually small and is due to the production process.

Top set of Mtb tyres!
Super tight and nice tyres. Ride fine with plenty of grip in Dutch tracks. Also a delight in regard.

Great combo
Haven't cycled much with them yet. Does a fine job on the trails, nice fast combo.

Barzo too much grip. Mezcal/Mezcal is better for me.
Bought this combination. I cycle mainly on MTB routes in NL. The Barzo has a lot of profile and therefore a lot of grip, too much grip for me, which makes you feel slowed down when XC MTB at speed. I have since replaced the Barzo for a Mezcal. So now front and rear Mezcal. This is the finest combo I have ridden. Fast, agile, plenty of grip on twisty single tracks. Just lovely. Bike is Specialized Epic fully

Good combo
Great value for money. The combo works really well, top performance and grip on wet and dry surfaces. Be careful on the mud I think a mount with two barzo would be the top.
